Youth Education and
Ministry Circle

But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luke 18:16

Youth Education and Ministry Circle
Stacey Williams, Youth Minister
I would like to first give thanks to God for the ministry and the love amongst the congregation here at FBCM! I am most grateful for the opportunity to be able to share my love for God and the children through this ministry. As I reflect on this past year, I can say that it has been challenging. However, it is still joyful and rewarding in so many ways. Through these challenges one aspect that I am really excited about is our online ministry! It has allowed us to connect to those near and far. So, for those children that are not able to attend church or may not have known about our ministry now have that opportunity to do so. I imagine that this will continue to be available for years to come and God willing we can reach children in ways I never thought were possible. On the other hand, I am really happy that we can have in-person service and come together for worship. The Children's Ministry has changed in a sense of attendance and interaction of the children. I miss the days of the classroom being full and seeing the smiles on their faces. We now must wear masks and socially distance in the classroom. The children loved being able to join together on teams to play games, role play and just the freedom of normal interaction. That has now changed, and I am constantly trying to get more creative with making it a fun, safe environment and finding new ways to keep the children engaged. Even If one child attends, I am delighted to spend time with that child one on one and really get a chance to connect with them in ways I couldn't before. As the word says, " two or three gathered in my name, there I am with them." As long as I can reach one child, then I am doing the work of the Lord! I am hopeful that our Children's ministry will grow and to all the children that are already a part of FBCM the children's ministry I am so grateful for each and every one of you!!
