October 7 - FBCM will celebrate National Coming Out Day with a special service of praise, story, and song during out Sunday Morning Worship. We will be welcoming members of the Millville High School Choir who will join with our music ministry for a combined number. October 14 - We will welcome the Rev Dr. Marilyn Turner-Triplett, founding director of American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ (ABHMS) Rizpah’s Children initiative, which seeks to create a network of community-outreach ministries that provide long-term solutions to the complex challenges faced by children affected by poverty. We look forward to hearing how we can become more involved in this initiative as individuals and as a congregation.
October 21 - Joint Worship Service with Christ Congregation in Princeton. Come and meet our newest region church who happens to be right up the road in NJ! This is an incredible opportunity to talk about partnership opportunities and how we might engage in like-minded mission! Please stay tuned for more details.
November 11- Stewardship Workshop! If you've ever had questions about financial offering such as, "How much should I give?" "What happens to my offering and how is it used by the church?" "What is a tithe?" "How are the monies I give used by the church?" or any other financial questions, please consider attending this fun (we promise) workshop on church stewardship. There will be a sign-up sheet in the lounge beginning in October.
Love to sing? FBC Choir meets on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. FBC Choir is a fun, warm and welcoming group of singers who love worshiping God through song. We have a rich and diverse history of musical repertoire, but also love exploring new musical styles. Can't read music? No problem! There are plenty of people in the choir who are glad to help you. Additionally, you will learn healthy vocal techniques to have you sounding your best! All ages and voice parts are welcome. Contact Howard Raudenbush if you are interested in being a part of this vibrant ministry.
Book Group will resume meeting on Sunday, September 30, after worship to discuss THE PRESIDENT IS MISSING, by James Patterson & Bill Clinton.
Bereavement Support Group - Haddonfield UMC will be hosting a Bereavement Support Group, led by Rev. Kathleen Morris, a certified Bereavement Counselor and spiritual director. All are welcome, especially those who have experienced a loss in the last 24 months. The group will begin on Tuesday, October 2, from 7-8 pm, and will last for eight weeks. MEND will be hosting their annual fundraiser on Friday, October 5, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The Fall Harvest fundraiser will be held at 229 North Lenola Road in Moorestown. Georgetti’s will cater the event and music will be provided by The David Christopher Orchestra. Tickets are $100.00 per person. For more information, please contact John Khanlian.
