Sunday Morning Adult Study led by Pastor Jen: Restoring Connection to an Unhurried God
Join us for an adult Lenten study and discussion starting at 8:30 am in Room 6, the last classroom on the left. We will look at scripture, listen to respected theologians, preachers and teachers, and engage in discussion around the topic of being busy and how we can slow down and get connected with God. Each week's lesson stands alone; therefore, if you know you can't make every Sunday in Lent, don't let that keep you from engaging in some spirited, challenging, and affirming discussion.
If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Jen, firstname.lastname@example.org
Lenten Prayer Study: Beginning February 21 and ending March 28, Pastor Linda is leading a study on various kinds of prayer. The class is held each Wednesday, both at 10:30 am and 7 pm. We will be exploring and be practicing prayer styles such as Lectio Divina (sacred reading), contemplative prayer, mindful or praying in the present moment, even using writing and music as prayer. Join us for this 6-week series aimed at helping all of us have richer prayer lives, and making our lives a prayer. Please sign up in the lounge or by calling the church office.

Food Pantry: It’s a monthly thing! Starting this Sunday there will be a large basket with a sign saying, “It’s a monthly thing.” in the lounge area. Food stamps will not pay for sanitary products for women. This can keep a woman home and not working if she has to choose between food for her children or these products. Please donate when you can. If you can’t afford them, then even donating coupons for others who can would help. There will be an envelope marked coupons that you can either take from or donate to in the basket as well. We will need all varieties and are making up bags to cover one cycle. If one or two people could donate paper lunch bags, that would also be helpful.
Our FBC Book Group meets on the last Sunday of each month at 11:15 am. In March we will read The Shadow of the Wind by Zafon, and discuss it on March 25. We always look forward to having more readers join our group!
FOOD PANTRY: Thank you for all your contributions to the Food Pantry; for both monetary & food items. The total number of people served on Tuesday, March 13 & Thursday, March 15 were 151.
